Limited Edition Packaging
I had the privilege of designing the limited-edition packaging of Glenmorgen Whisky for Whistler Spirits in India, created exclusively for the Indian market to promote Scotland’s whisky culture abroad. This collector’s edition box has the whisky bottle inside alongside two tasting glasses and a traditional measure, engraved with the companies logo.
The brief covered everything from designing the bottle label and developing the overall packaging concepts, to planning how the glasses, bottle, and measure would be presented together within the box, and creating the final design for production.
The exterior of the box features a custom illustration of an elephant, a nod to Indian culture and its traditions. In India the elephant has powerful religious and mythological significance, they are revered as sacred beings in both Hindu and Buddhist traditions. Surrounding the elephant are ornamental Indian-inspired embellishments, adding a sense of richness and cultural relevance. Opening the box reveals a stylised Scottish landscape, symbolising the connection between the two countries and reinforcing Glenmorgen’s Scottish heritage.
To bring the sense of luxury to it, the pack incorporates some detail print finishes, including gold foil, spot varnish and embossing, this gives it texture, tactility, and a sense of prestige.
