I created this limited edition gin to support Ardgowan Hospice Ltd, an organisation that's played a vital role in the Inverclyde community for 40 years. This wasn't just about creating a bottle. It was about honouring a place and supporting the people who care for it.
My design explores Inverclyde's shipbuilding heritage, a legacy that shaped the town's identity. The interwoven lines and stencil typography reflect the precision and craftsmanship of that industrial past. I used copper, sea blue, and green to capture the essence of the place: the metalwork, the water, and the landscape that surrounds it.
But the bottle itself is the experience. Looking through the glass reveals a view of Inverclyde painted by local artist Kevin Hunter, creating a visual magnification effect that draws you into the landscape. It's a moment of connection. Breaking the bronze foil strap launches the bottle and, more importantly, supports Ardgowan Hospice's vital work in the community.
Every bottle sold contributes to their ongoing charitable work, making each purchase a direct investment in local care and support.
