Loch Lomond Coffee Co.

Branding, graphic design, identity, logo design, Packaging

The Loch Lomond Coffee Company came to me needing a brand identity to launch and sell their new range of coffee. Early on, they told me they’d be donating 50p from every bag sold to The Red Squirrel Conservation, and that gave me the starting point for the logo.

I created a squirrel icon where the body is drawn as a coffee bean and the tail curls up into a roasting flame. It ties the product, the process and the cause together in one simple mark, and it works just as well small on a label as it does large on a van.

From there I built out the wider identity and applied it across the coffee bags and packaging, then into merchandise and marketing pieces including t-shirts, hats and car livery. The squirrel has become the face of the brand, recognisable on its own and flexible enough to carry the company into new products as it grows.
